They are made according to a Viking pattern dating 820-950A.D. Bead archaeologist Johan Callmer calls this style Callmer E110 in his study of Scandinavian trade beads and bead trading.
Beads of this type have been a part of Early Medieval finds from Gotland island and Birka (Sweden)
