Beads of this type have been a part of Early Medieval finds from Norway, Birka, Ladoga and others.
They are made according to a Viking pattern dating 790-960A.D. Bead archaeologist Johan Callmer calls this style Callmer G050 in his study of Scandinavian trade beads and bead trading.
